MEET TRACY & ROSS

Gordon Stone’s Biggest Fans

tracy Burnett

For Tracy, it all started when he answered the call to a career in law enforcement, becoming a Deputy Sheriff at the Palm Beach County, Florida Sheriff’s Department. His next stop was with the Drug Enforcement Administration where he became a Special Agent, kickstarting a 25-year federal law enforcement career leading investigations on behalf of the U.S. Departments of Justice, State, and Defense, among others, working both domestically and around the globe. Along the way he spent two memorable years at the National Archives where he met . . .

ROSS WEILAND

. . . Ross, who began his career in journalism, working as a travel writer in New York City prior to attending law school. He then answered his own call to service, joining the US Navy as a prosecutor before transitioning to federal civil service. There, he spent 21 years in the Office of Inspector General community as counsel, investigator, and senior executive at the National Archives, Department of Defense, and NASA.

While both Tracy and Ross are now retired from public service, their shared immersion in the world of federal law enforcement has brought them each a diverse spectrum of compelling experiences and a bond more than two decades strong built on sharing them. When they realized they were also united by aspirations to bring voice to their most noteworthy encounters in the form of a novel, they hit the ground running and Gordon Stone was soon after conceived.
